ASSU President
The Scholarly Staff Union of Universities on Tuesday said that it has finished its one week across the country cautioning strike over the non-execution of a 2009 concurrence with the Central Government.

The President of ASUU, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, who said this in Abuja, asked instructors to come back to work.

"We are gaining ground, particularly with the mediation of the Senate. In the following maybe a couple gatherings, on the off chance that we can get an unmistakable way to the matter, we will stay away from lengthening of the strike activity.

"I have been getting these reports that ASUU says strike proceeds. No. The strike closes today (Tuesday). All speakers are to retreat to work Wednesday morning."

As indicated by him, ASUU was confident of a positive result, passing by the reaction originating from the Government.
